MEET THE OWNER

Leslie Stoves-Singleton

As the second of five siblings and the daughter of an entrepreneurial mother that ran her own in-home daycare, Ms. Leslie knew early on that she was destined to enter the world of child care. Watching the inner workings of her mother’s business first hand, she saw children of all ages, races, learning levels, and familiar backgrounds interact with each other daily. Enamored at how unifying it was witnessing them learn and play together, helping children and families always held both Ms. Leslie’s attention and a special place in her heart. With her roots firmly planted on a solid foundation of educational and practical real-world experience, it wasn’t long into adulthood that Ms. Leslie began looking into her own endeavors in the childcare industry.

However, in 2008 her path was momentarily detoured when her own child was diagnosed with cancer at the tender age of two. After a hard fight and valiant effort her son transitioned from this life to the next in 2015. At a time where tragedy could have torn apart even the toughest of parents, Ms. Leslie relied on her faith, strength, and professional passion to push past her grief. With the seed for taking care of others that had been planted in her early now fully bloomed and a brand-new motivation to be of service to others, Ms. Leslie obtained her educational credentials and opened On Our Way Learning Center in January 2016. Her mission is not only to watch over your child while you’re unable, but to also provide a fun, interactive, and safe environment where children feel loved and cared for as if they were with their own families. Ms. Leslie also currently holds a Level 2 Director’s Credential from the State of Florida.
